Hi Mike,
Many thanks for your speedy reply and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I was over at Langholm this past weekend, running yet another photo workshop….
As you may have seen, I’ve emailed everyone who made it the workshop I gave to your club members last summer at St Abbs Head because everyone asked me to let them know if I were ever running another event in the area.
The links below, are for the three days were I understand there is still the odd vacancy, but it is this coming Friday, Saturday, Sunday!
Kind regards,
Laurie

Still life workshop

A total of eleven club members signed up for the Still Life workshop on 23rd February. They met in two groups:  5  in the afternoon and 6 in the evening at the home of one of the members.

Some had never though of doing still life images; others came equipped with black velvet backcloths and special clamps. The idea was to use a domestic setting and lighting for still life images to show you don’t need expensive equipment just a bit of imagination and some clothes airers, bulldog clips, Blu tack and drapes.

Everyone experimented and provided helpful suggestions to the others. Several people had the upcoming “Abstract” competition in mind. Plants, bottles, shells, jam jars, shoes and  chocolates all featured. Some of the photo subjects were later eaten by the workshop members ! People seemed to enjoy the experience and said they had learned something.

Theatre rehearsals photo-op

Wednesday 13th January  6:30 to ~ 10pm  Brunton Theatre

Musselburgh Amateur Musical Association is producing a show next week and Jane Renton is asking if anyone is interested in going along to the dress rehearsal to take photos of the action. This would provide  practice in theatre photography and hopefully some  photos for the Association to use in their publicity.

If you’d like to go along please email Jane who can provide the link up with MAMA.
