Prints needed for display at the Fisherrow Centre

Joe Fowler has obtained some picture frames we can use to restore our display of photographs on the wall of room G3 at the Fisherrow Centre. We now need a selection of interesting recent photographs from members to show off the work of the club.

If you have any photographs you would like displayed, please bring a print to the next club meeting and give it to Joe Fowler. The frames can take up to A3-sized prints. You can either bring in an A3 print to fit the frame without a mount, or bring in an A4 print and Joe will cut a mount to suit the frame. We are looking for about 6-10 images from as many members as possible.

Prints of Musselburgh Needed for Fisherrow Centre

The Fisherrow Centre are looking for some nice prints of Musselburgh (such as the harbour or river Esk) to be displayed on a wall in a small upstairs room they have recently upgraded. They have funding for the upgrade, so they could pay for new prints if necessary.

If you have any nice shots of Musselburgh you would be happy to see displayed on a wall at the Fisherrow Centre, please let me know (StevenMBeard@aol.com) and I’ll pass on your details. It sounds like an opportunity to advertise your work and advertise the club.

All the best,

Steven

Two more volunteers needed to help with the MCC library exhibition

Thank you to everybody who has volunteered to help transfer our library exhibition during the summer. Most of the slots are now covered, but we need two more volunteers:

  • Somebody to help Clive Davies with the move from Gullane to Port Seton on 16th June 2018.
  • Somebody to help Steven Beard with the move from Prestonpans to Craigmillar on 14th July 2018.

It doesn’t matter if you have never transferred the exhibition before. Clive and I will show you what needs to be done, and you’ll get a special preview of the exhibition. It takes about 2 hours on a Saturday morning. If you are able to help, please contact John Knox (85newhailes@supanet.com) who is finalizing the rota sheet.
