MFK VISIT DAY 1 – Thursday, 14th May 2026 @10:30am

What to Shoot There – Edinburgh streets, buildings and people.

Where – Camera Obscura and World of Illusions, Edinburgh

DESCRIPTION
Musselburgh camera club and Mölnlycke fotoklubb members met up for a day of photography along the Royal Mile and Victoria Street. We started at the Castle and finished at Holyrood palace

MFK VISIT DAY 2 – Friday, 15th May 2026 @8am

What to Shoot There – Carvings, trees and bridges.

Where – Rosslyn Chapel, Forth Bridges and Dalkeith Country Park

DESCRIPTION
We began the day with a visit to Rosslyn Chapel, then some of us visited the Forth Bridges while a second group visited Dalkeith Country Park to try some ICM photography amongst the bluebells.

MFK VISIT DAY 3 – Friday, 16th May 2026 @10:30am

What to Shoot There – Wildlife and landscapes.

Where – Musselburgh Lagoons and Aberlady Nature Reserve

DESCRIPTION
On the third day we visited Musselburgh Lagoons and Aberlady Nature reserve to photograph the wildlife. A hovering kestrel and a family of wandering deer were the highlights of the trip.

PHOTO WALK CALENDAR COMP – Thursday, 18th June 2026 @6:45pm

What to Shoot There – UNESCO World Heritage architecture

Where – Dunbars Close Garden, Canongate, Edinburgh

DESCRIPTION
To celebrate our city’s 30 years in the UNESCO World Heritage listing, a photography calendar competition is being run by the council, Historic Environment Scotland and Edinburgh World Heritage. This event enables club members to take photos related to that the competition.

What to Shoot There – Lot of interesting stuff.

EDINBURGH FESTIVAL SHOOT – Saturday, 15th August 2026 @7pm

What to Shoot there – Edinburgh Festival events.

Where – Royal Mile, Edinburgh, United Kingdom

DESCRIPTION.
Similar to last year’s mixture of street photography and happenings, but there also will also
be a challenge for members to get great competition shots

LIGHT PAINTING – Thursday, 3rd September 2026 @7:30pm

What to Shoot there – Light trails and sparks.

Where – Fisherrow Centre Car Park

DESCRIPTION.
Light painting and wire wool burning at a car park near you. This will be a night not to be missed! SUNSET will be 7.50 will be ideal.
